Los Angeles.  A confrontation between three males and a lone suspect left one person dead from a gunshot wound.

On July 30, 2011, at around 7:45 p.m., Wilshire Area patrol officers were called to the 1200 block of Queen Anne Place for a shooting investigation. When they arrived they found 27-year-old Rigoberto Espinosa lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced Espinosa dead at scene.

Detectives believe that Espinosa and two friends became involved in a dispute that led to a fight between Espinosa and the gunman. Following the altercation the suspect pulled out a gun and shot Espinosa. The exact motive for the dispute and subsequent shooting is still under investigation.
