In addition to this year’s event, there will be free information on Emergency Preparedness. Participants in the festival will also have the opportunity to purchase emergency supplies.

Lieutenant John Romero will be on hand to give a presentation on Nixle and how this new technology relays crime information to local communities to keep them alert on current trends in their area.  There will also be a presentation on the iWATCH program, sometimes called the Neighborhood Watch for the 21st Century.  This program empowers the community to report potential terrorist threats to local law enforcement officials.

The South Robertson Community Festival will showcase a special section on Green Living where members of the community can receive information on how to live a green lifestyle.  Los Angeles City Council Members Herb J. Wesson and Paul Koretz will be on hand to present a special community award for Outstanding Green Citizenship to Vons for their commitment to a greener lifestyle.

The South Robertson Community Festival is Coordinated by the South Robertson Neighborhoods Council and SoRo Inc. and funded in part by a grant from the Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department.  Admission to this event is free to the public.  Free parking is also available.
