His unit was responsible for going out and dismantling or detonating IED’s. In the first 10 months of 2010 132 Marines had been killed in Afghanistan and 18 killed in October alone. Despite this Ofcr Cullins went out to accomplish his mission every day. Officer Cullins had been called out to investigate a previous IED blast when he was killed by a secondary device at that location.
Every day, the members of the LAPD put their lives on the line. We remember and honor the officers who have gone above and beyond the call of duty who have lost their lives while serving the people of the City of Los Angeles.
