Los Angeles Police Search for Missing 11-Year-Old Chatsworth Boy NR10136gb

Update

Missing Cody Burton was found.  He called his mother and told her that he stayed at a friend’s house.  Police will respond to the friend’s house and reunite the boy with his mother.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for a boy who went missing near his home in Chatsworth.

Police are looking for 11-year-old Cody Burton.  On March 21 at around 6:30 p.m., the boy went to the dumpster near his apartment building in the 10200 block of Eaton Avenue to throw away some trash and hasn’t been seen since.  His mother heard the trash dumpster lid close and later found the box that he discarded inside the dumpster.    

Burton is described as a male Black with black hair and brown eyes.  He has thick eyebrows, stands 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 85 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, black and grey basketball shorts.

Burton has no history of being missing or running away, nor does he have any disciplinary problems at home or school.  His mental health is described as good.
