Why:
On February 2, 2006, at about 6:15 AM, a 92-year-old woman was found dead on the sidewalk in the 9000 block of Willis Avenue in Panorama City. The victim, Sofia Gomez, was taken to a local hospital, where she died a short time later from trauma to her head.

Councilmember Padilla‘s motion for a $50,000 reward was accepted by the Los Angeles City Council for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator of this crime.

The victim’s photo will be made available during the press conference.
