Motorcyclist is Killed in Traffic Collision NR14483dm

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that killed a 50-year-old man.

On Saturday, December 20, 2014, around 6:15 p.m., a traffic collision occurred between a motorcycle traveling east on Polk Street, and a car traveling west on Polk Street.  The car was making a left turn at the intersection of Eldridge Avenue.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old male Hispanic, Alonso Torres of Sylmar, was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.  The driver of the car was also transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

Valley Traffic Detectives are looking for additional witnesses who may have witnessed this collision.
