Fatal Shooting in North Hills NR17366dm

North Hills: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide are asking for the public’s help in providing information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the murder of 29-year-old Alfredo Linares, a resident of North Hills.

On December 6, 2017, around 8:55 p.m., Mission Area uniformed patrol officers responded to a radio call of an “Ambulance Shots Fired,” in the 8700 block of Langdon Avenue in North Hills. Upon arrival, officers observed Linares laying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was unconscious and unresponsive. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported Linares to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigation revealed Linares was standing in front of an apartment complex when a dark vehicle stopped. A suspect exited the vehicle and exchanged words with Linares. The suspect shot Linares multiple times, re-entered the vehicle, then fled south on Langdon Avenue. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic. There are no further details at this time.
