Fatal Shooting in Sylmar NR18231ml

Sylmar: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects responsible for killing a man.

On September 2, 2018, at 1:00 a.m., Mission Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting at the 14500 block of Tyler Street in Sylmar. Upon Officers arrival, they discovered the victim down at scene with a gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim, Pedro Hernandez, 19 years of age, was at a party when he was shot one time by an unknown suspect.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
