"16 Year-Old Fatally Shot in Southeast"

Los Angeles – On Tuesday, August 1, 2000 at approximately 10:15 P.M., Christopher Holts and two other companions were walking in the 700 block of east 109th street when they were approached by at least two armed suspects. The suspects began to fire several rounds at the victims. Christopher Holts collapsed on a street nearby and was pronounced dead by responding paramedics. The two other victims received gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals where they are listed in stable condition.

The motive for this shooting has not been determined. Southeast Homicide Detectives are handling this investigation.
