Update
Palm Springs: Father
who concealed his 2 year-old daughter from her mother since
Christmas Eve taken into custody in Palm Springs,
California.
Around 9:30 p.m., Monday evening, the Van Nuys Police Station
received a call from a witness who stated that she saw the
Community Alert Flyer that pictured Jack Perry and his 2
year-old daughter Lucia. The witness claimed that she was in
the Palm Springs area and believed that both Perry and the
little girl were still there. The caller advised that she was
nearly positive that it was Jack Perry and Lucia Perry.
Based upon the information received from the caller, Lieutenant
David Legaspi, Van Nuys Watch Commander, immediately made
contact with the Palm Springs Police Department and advised
them of the possible lead on the missing 2 year-old. Palm
Springs Police Department was quick to respond to the location
where the two were last seen. The location was described as an
apartment that Jack Perry rented on Sunday for him and his
daughter using a fictitious name. A short time later Palm
Springs Police Department reported that they made contact with
Jack Perry and took him into custody. Lucia Perry was also
located inside of the apartment and appeared to be
unharmed.
Van Nuys units responded to Palm Springs accompanied by Lucia’s
Mother Elise Perry, to bring her daughter home where she had
not been for more than five days. The Los Angeles Police
Department is grateful to our media and our Community for their
assistance in bringing this emotional incident to a peaceful
conclusion.
Jack Perry was transported back to Los Angeles, Valley Jail
Section, where he was booked on Child Abduction, California
Penal Code Section 278. Perry will be held on $40,000
bail.

Van Nuys: Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys
Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating Lucia
Perry.
On December 24, 2015, around 5 p.m., Lucia Perry was having a
supervised visitation with her father, Jack Perry. The person
supervising the visitation lost sight of Lucia and her father while
in the 100 block of The Grove.
Jack Perry is described as a 31 year-old Caucasian male with brown
eyes.
Lucia
Perry is described as a female Caucasian with blond hair and blue
eyes.
She stands 2 feet 6 inches tall and has a small build. She was last
seen wearing pink sweatpants a yellow t-shirt and “Hot Pink Nike
Shoes.”
