Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) responsible for the killing of 29-year-old Samika Griggley.
On October 26, 2014, around 9:19 p.m., the victim Griggley, along with other bystanders was at the intersection of 114th Street and Croesus Avenue when the suspect(s) in an unknown vehicle drove by and fired several gun shots. Griggley and another male Black suffered from gunshot wounds. The vehicle drove away in an unknown direction.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported Griggley to a local area hospital where she died due to her injuries. The second victim was also transported to a local area hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
