Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) South Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a driver who struck a female pedestrian as she crossed the street in South Los Angeles.
Yesterday, at about 3:55 p.m., a 34-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street at 111th Place and Figueroa Street when she was struck by a 1991 grey or blue Toyota Camry, license plate 2VWL540. The suspect’s vehicle was traveling westbound on 111th Place and headed southbound onto Figueroa Street after the collision.
The driver of the Toyota was a Black female with a light complexion in her late 20s or 30s. The driver left the scene without rendering aid or identifying herself as required by law.
The victim sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital where she is currently being treated.
