Los Angeles: Valley Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information regarding a hit-and-run incident that killed a man on his bicycle.
On August 5, 2013, around 9 p.m., 38-year-old Victor Awad, a resident of Canoga Park, was riding his bicycle traveling westbound Plummer Avenue at the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Plummer Street. A vehicle only described as a silver convertible Mustang, traveling northbound Winnetka Avenue collided with the bicyclist. The driver of the vehicle did not remain at scene to render aid or to identify himself. The driver then sped away northbound on Winnetka Avenue.
At this time, there are no more descriptive details of the suspect or his vehicle. After the incident, the victim was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
