Los Angeles: LAPD West Bureau Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information on the murder of 42-year-old Erik Poltorak.
On Thursday, November 1, 2012, around 11:20 a.m., Wilshire Area patrol officers responded to a murder investigation at a residence in the 300 block of North Laurel Avenue. When the officers arrived they were directed to Poltorak by his co-worker who had come to the residence and discovered Poltorak dead on the front porch. Poltorak had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue personnel responded and pronounced Poltorak dead.
Detective’s investigation revealed that several neighbors heard what sounded like gunshots early in the morning, around 2 or 2:30 a.m., but police were not called at that time. There is no suspect information at this time.
