Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for a hit-and-run traffic collision that killed a 44-year-old man.
On Thursday January 7, 2016 around 5:50 a.m., a fatal hit and run occurred on Pico Boulevard just west of Cherry Avenue in Los Angeles. The victim, a 44-year-old male Hispanic, was found lying in the in the street underneath the 110 Freeway. Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department found the victim unresponsive and pronounced the victim at scene.
Initial reports came from witnesses calling 9-1-1 about a body in the roadway, however no one reported seeing the initial collision. There is no vehicle or suspect description at this time. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
