Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the suspects responsible for gunning down a 17-year-old high school student.
On Wednesday, April 28, 2010, just after 4 p.m., 17-year-old Jonathan Val was approached by three male Hispanics in a vehicle as he stood on the sidewalk in front of an apartment building in the 300 block of North Avenue 57 in the Highland Park community of Los Angeles. The front passenger of the vehicle fired several gunshots at Jonathan who sustained multiple injuries. Jonathan was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Los Angeles City Council has approved a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this senseless murder.
