$50,000 Reward Offer for Murder Victim

Why:
Councilmember Reye’s office will issue a reward offering up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects who murdered Freddy Carranza.

On March 11, 2008, Carranza was slain during a drive-by shooting.  A gunman inside of a vehicle opened fired on him while he was standing in a second floor hallway of an apartment building in the 200 block of North Avenue 53.  The victim was not a gang member.

There were several people who witnessed the shooting that are reluctant to come forward to speak with detectives.  The LAPD is asking for the public’s help in finding those witnesses, as well as any person who may have information about the shooting incident.
