What: $50,000 Reward Offered for Murder Suspects

Why:The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of 29-year-old Mel Dunn, a resident of Los Angeles.
On Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at about 11:10 AM, Dunn was standing outside of 4557 West 18th Street, when he was shot several times in the upper body by two male Black suspects.
One of the suspects was six feet tall, thin build, with shoulder length braids. He was last seen wearing a dark baseball cap, white tank top and black pants. The other suspect had all dark clothing. They were last seen running from the crime scene and enter a white vehicle.
The motive for this crime is unknown.
Victim’s mother, Linda Dunn, along with family and friends will be attending the news conference.
The Los Angeles City Council has passed a motion to offer a reward of $50,000.00.
