Los Angeles. Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help with providing any information that will lead to the arrest of person responsible for the death of 53-year-old Norbert Keilbach, a resident of Los Angeles.
On December 5, 2010 at about 6:50 p.m., Keilbach was walking across Alvarado Street near the intersection of Court Street when he was struck by a vehicle heading in a northerly direction on Alvarado Street. The vehicle continued on Alvarado Street without stopping to render help or provide identifying information as required by law. Investigators do not have a description of the vehicle or the driver that struck Keilbach.
LAFD paramedics responded to the scene and transported Keilbach to a local hospital in critical condition. Despite lifesaving efforts, Keilbach died from his injuries on December 14, 2010.
The Los Angeles city Council approved a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this vicious crime.
