Why:
An event to lift the spirits of needy children and families throughout the San Fernando Valley during this difficult Christmas Season. Officers from the Los Angeles Department Mission Division and the Department’s baseball team have partnered with Project Living Hope, several Motorcycle Clubs, and hundreds of volunteers and sponsors to help bring toys, food, entertainment, and support to needy children and families in the San Fernando Valley. “If you have, come and give; and if you need come and receive” is the organizers message to the public.
The San Fernando Valley Toy Giveaway is a free public event and activities include:
Toy giveaway
Motorcycle Toy run with Santa Claus on a Harley
Interactive game area with rock climbing walls
Mobile skateboard playground
Child Photo I.D. station
Live performances with celebrity guests
Health screenings
There will also be Public safety displays from the LAPD K-9 unit, Mounted Horses, SWAT, Recruitment and the Historical Society.
Organizers and volunteers will be unloading thousands of toys and setting up on Friday and Saturday and all Media is invited to attend.
