Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the family of Maria Ruiz are asking for the public’s help in finding the 66-year-old missing woman.
On January 19, 2011, at around 11:00 a.m., Ruiz left her home located in the 1600 block of North Ivar Avenue in the LAPD’s Hollywood Area, and she has not been heard from since. According to her family, Ruiz may be in need of medical attention for a serious medical condition. Ruiz speaks Spanish only.
Ruiz is described as a female Hispanic with grey hair and brown eyes. She stands about 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red and black checkered jacket with large hood.
