68 Count Felony Filing Leads to the Arrest of 3 Defendants NR19195ti

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police
Department’s Commercial Crimes Division, White Collar Crimes Unit,
conducted an investigation resulting in the arrest of 3 Defendants,
Angela Wallace, Charlesetta Brown, and David Greene. The case was
presented to The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office who charged
the defendants with 68 Felony Counts on July 12, 2019.

The investigation initially began when the Victim discovered that
suspect(s) fraudulently signed a Grant Deed in July 2015, which
transferred ownership of the property to several fraudulent
corporations. The suspects then obtained fraudulent loans against
the property and subsequently sold the property to an unsuspecting
buyer. Ultimately the investigation revealed the 3 suspects
conspired to steal money from the victim by benefitting from the
fraudulent loans and the sale of the victim’s property all
conducted without the victim’s knowledge or permission. Due to
their efforts to steal money from the victim’s assets the
Defendants were charged with Multiple Counts of 530(A) PC Identity
Theft, 470(A) PC Forgery, 115(A) PC Forged Instrument, 487(A) PC
Grand Theft, and 186.10(A) PC Money Laundering,

The case involves a disbarred attorney identified as Defendant 1,
Angela Wallace, Defendant 2, Charlesetta Brown, who has previously
been linked to investigations which involve preying on elderly
victims to defraud them of their money via real estate or bank
fraud, and Defendant 3, David Jayson Greene, Brown’s son. The
scheme involved defrauding Los Angeles victims of their money via
real estate and bank fraud. The investigation revealed the suspects
fraudulently transferred the victim’s property into a fraudulent
company by committing Identity Theft and Forgery. The suspects then
obtained multiple loans against the property and subsequently sold
the property in question to an unsuspecting buyer.

After a short surveillance in the San Fernando Valley and Ladera
Heights, the Commercial Crimes Due Diligence Units arrested all
three suspects on the outstanding felony warrants.

Defendant 1, Angela Fawn Wallace was booked at Metropolitan
Detention Center on July16, 2019, with Bail set at
$1,610,000.00.

Defendant 2, Charlesetta Brown was booked at 77th Jail on July 17,
2019, with Bail set at $1,270,000.00.

Defendant 3, David Jayson Greene was booked at 77th Jail on July
17, 2019, with Bail set at $1,270,000.00

It is believed the suspects may have conspired to commit similar
against other victims in the Los Angeles area.
