Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department Metro Division invites runners and non-runners alike to the 6th Annual Randy Simmons 5K Challenge Run, Crossfit and Bike Ride.

Police Officer Randall Simmons was part of the LAPD’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT).  Officer Simmons was a 27-year veteran and was killed on February 7, 2008 in the  line of duty, making him the first LAPD SWAT officer to die while performing his job.

Join us on this great and challenging 5K run through the hills of Elysian Park. We encourage  individuals and teams to sign up.  All proceeds to benefit the “Randy Simmons Foundation”
