The LAPD, 77th Division will conduct a regimented military style “Boot Camp” for at risk juveniles. Drill instructors will provide instruction in drill ceremonies and physical training for eight consecutive Saturdays. In addition the Los Angeles Unified School District will provide instruction to recruits and their parents in anger management and communication skills.
When:
Classes starts on Saturday, February 11, 2006
8:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Fremont High School

Who:
Los Angeles Police Department, 77th street, Juvenile Impact Program (JIP) and the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Why:
To correct and prevent negative criminal behavior and attitudes in at risk juveniles by instilling discipline, self esteem and respect for others.
Requirements:
Students must be between the ages of 9-15 years of age and provide a medical clearance. Mandatory adult parenting classes will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Cost:
$100.00 (non-refundable) registration fee is required.
