Detectives Seek Help In Locating A Victim Of A Robbery NR24041ti/lr

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division Robbery detectives are looking for a robbery victim and asking for the public’s help in providing information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect.

On January 30, 2024, around 4:50 p.m., a robbery occurred near the 8200 block of Melrose Avenue. The victim was followed into a business by the two suspects, who demanded his watch and pistol-whipped him when he resisted. The suspects then violently pulled off the victim’s watch from his wrist and fled in a white 2014 Toyota Corolla. The victim left the scene in a black SUV before the officer’s arrival.

The first suspect was described as a 20 to 25-year-old male, Black, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He was seen wearing a gray jumpsuit and armed with a handgun. The second suspect was described as a 20 to 25-year-old male, Black, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 120 pounds. He was seen wearing all dark clothing.

On January 31, 2024, around 9:45 p.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department stopped and detained Suspect-2, who was driving a white 2014 Toyota Corolla near the 22800 block of Calle San Juan De Los Lagos in the city of Moreno Valley. Suspect-2, Demetri Sherman, was arrested and booked for 211PC-Robbery, Booking No. 6752168.
