Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation recognizes Twenty-Five
LAPD Reserve Police Officers of the Year at May 4th event
Along with former LA County Sheriff Jim McDonnell,
and Civic Leader, TV Journalist, and Attorney Lisa Specht

WHAT: The Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation (LAPRF) presents the 2024 Twice a Citizen Awards on Saturday, May 4, at the Skirball Cultural Center. The LAPRF and community leaders come together to honor the hundreds of heroic and selfless Reserve Police Officers – citizens who donate their time throughout the year to protect and serve our great city. These are volunteer officers who receive the same training and are held to the same standards as their regular LAPD counterparts – helping to build a bridge to the community!

LAPD Chief of Police Dominic Choi will join with KTLA’s Wendy Burch and KFI’s Mark Thompson, and Presidents of the LAPRF – Karla Ahmanson and Michael Sellars, to also present Twice a Citizen Awards saluting Lisa Specht, Civic leader, Attorney, Television Journalist, former Chair of the Los Angeles Music Center; and Jim McDonnell, former Sheriff of Los Angeles County; LAPD Assistant Chief, and Long Beach Police Chief and now Director of USC’s Safe Communities Institute.
