Opens https://lacity.gov/directory in a new window.Los Angeles: Wilshire Area Robbery Detectives are asking the public’s help in identifying two robbery suspects who were caught on surveillance camera.
On November 20, 2008 at about 7:30 p.m., two male Black suspects entered the “Auto Zone” located at 1250 South Vermont Avenue. The suspects approached the manager. The first suspect pointed a handgun at the manager and ordered him to open the safe as the other suspect stood nearby holding a handgun. The first suspect removed money from the safe after the manager opened it.
The first suspect then ordered the manager to open the cash registers and drop boxes. The manager complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect removed money while the second suspect acted as a lookout.
The suspects left the store on foot with the money.
The first suspect is described as a male Black with black hair, about 5’5” to 5’7” tall, weighing 150 to 160 pounds, about 20 to 25 years of age with freckles and a mustache. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a male Black, 5’10” to 6’2” tall, weighing 180 pounds, about 20 to 25 years of age, wearing a camouflage jacket with a fur-lined hood and dark pants.
