Art District Art Walk NA12183an

On Thursday, August 9, 2012, the Art District Art Walk will be in full swing in downtown, attracting numerous visitors to partake in art appreciation, local eateries, and other entertainment.  This event attracts thousands of people in a very concentrated area along Spring Street, between 3rd Street and 7th Street.  

Due to the large number of participants it is critical that the ingress and egress in and around the Art Walk be remain free and clear of any obstructions or traffic issues.  The Los Angeles Police Department will be enforcing all traffic and parking laws to ensure that the area remains accessible for emergency vehicles at all times.  Media personnel who plan to attend and cover the event are reminded to park legally at all times.  Vehicles parked in red zones will be towed.  This is critical to ensure adequate access for emergency vehicles and we must insist on adherence by all.
