Los Angeles: Detectives from
the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Division are
seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an ADW with a
Vehicle suspect.
On April 11, 2018, around 1:05 pm, an ADW with a vehicle occurred
at the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Normandie Avenue in
the city of Los Angeles. A group of bicyclists had gathered at the
intersection to bring attention to the hit-and-run death of their
friend, and fellow cyclist, the previous day. The gathering stopped
the flow of traffic through the intersection. The suspect attempted
to drive her vehicle into the intersection, at which time, an
argument started between the suspect and a female bicyclist. The
argument quickly escalated into a brief physical altercation. The
suspect re-entered her vehicle and drove eastbound on Manchester
Ave, conducted a U-turn, then drove westbound at a high rate of
speed. The suspect struck a male bicyclist, standing in the
intersection, with her vehicle and fled.
The
suspect is described as a 25-30-year-old female Black. She stands
around 5 feet tall and weighs around 120 pounds. The suspect was
wearing a multi-colored head scarf, white top and multi-colored
tights. She had a nose ring and a tattoo on the left side of her
stomach.
The vehicle the suspect was driving is in police custody.
