"Automobile Club of Southern California Honors more than 350 Los Angeles Police Officers for Collision-free Driving"
Los Angeles – On Thursday, September 28, 2000, at 11:30 a.m., the Automobile Club of Southern California (AAA) will host a luncheon and ceremony in honor of Los Angeles police officers who have attained 25 years or more of collision-free driving while patrolling the streets of Los Angeles. The luncheon/ceremony will be held at the Regal-Biltmore Hotel, 506 South Grand Avenue, Los Angeles.
The Automobile Club of Southern California continues to support the Los Angeles Police Department and its efforts in making the streets of Los Angeles safer for those who live, work and visit the City.
AAA President and Chief Executive Officer, Thomas McKernan, along with Chief Bernard C. Parks will present the safe driving awards to more than 350 officers, including Robbery-Homicide Detective Jack Giroud, who has 43 years of collision-free driving.
