Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division are informing the public of a helpful way to track and recover stolen vehicles and personal property in the City of Los Angeles.
In Wilshire Division, Auto Detectives have noticed a trend of work trucks containing tools being stolen and recovered with tools missing from the vehicles. If the vehicle and tools are not equipped with any GPS monitoring device, a helpful way to track the whereabouts of the vehicle and tools would be the use of monitoring devices.
These devices are small enough to fit on a key ring and can be affixed to most compartments of the vehicle and inside tool boxes. The registered owner of a vehicle can monitor it 24/7 via their cell phone, home computer, and other electronic devices.
When detectives or uniformed officers are conducting their investigations, this real-time information can be essential in helping victims of automobile theft to recover their vehicles and personal property.
