Los Angeles: On December 23, 2002 at approximately 7:15 p.m., two armed suspects entered Babies "R" Us located at 7886 Van Nuys Blvd.
The suspects described as male African American, 18-20 years of age, entered the business wearing hooded sweatshirts. One suspect, armed with a handgun, approached a 20-year -old male Hispanic employee. The suspect pointed the handgun at him and demanded him to take him to the safe. The employee took the armed suspect to the manager, a 34-year -old male Hispanic. The suspect then demanded that the manager take him to the office and open the safe. The manager complied and took the suspect to the safe and then left the store.
The suspects were seen driving off in a 1993 Honda Accord, 4-door, maroon, California Personalized Plate "CRMLNEZ."
The suspect’s vehicle was later determined to have been stolen from the City of Inglewood earlier that day.
There are no immediate leads in this case at this time.
