Basketball Coach Arrested for Sexually Abusing a 16-year-old Girl NR15217rh

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s Sexually Exploited Child Unit (SECU), Juvenile
Division have identified and arrested the suspect who sexually
abused a 16-year-old female. Detectives believe there may be other
unreported sexual abuse victims and are asking for the public’s
assistance in locating additional victims.

The victim received one on one training sessions from the suspect,
who is a basketball coach for the Pacific Elite Basketball Club and
a personal trainer, in the Los Angeles area. On June 12, 2015, the
victim disclosed that the suspect, later identified as 46-year-old
Herman Nash had sexually abused her on several occasions.

There were three sexual abuse incidents. One incident took place on
November 20, 2014, another on December 2014, and the third, in the
beginning of 2015. Each of the incidents took place at various
locations.

On June 18, 2015, Herman Nash was
arrested. His bail is set at $460,000.00. The Los Angeles District
Attorney’s Office has filed 9 felony counts.
