Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Division will conduct a Crosswalk Enforcement Detail as a part of the heightened Holiday Traffic Awareness Plan.
This location was the scene of a double pedestrian fatality on July 21, 2002. A six- foot, four- inch, 300-pound Officer, dressed, as Santa Claus will attempt to cross at this dangerous valley intersection.
Los Angeles Police Department Officers will pull over cars and issue citations or warnings to motorist who violate Santa Claus’s right of way. At 9:00 a.m., at the intersection, a Press Conference will be held during the crosswalk detail by members of the City Council and LAPD Command Staff.
