Los Angeles: Los Angeles police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old bicyclist who was gunned down while he rode his bicycle in a South Los Angeles neighborhood on September 5, 2009.
On September 6, 2009, at around 2:00 a.m., a patrol unit who already had the vehicle and suspects’ description from a crime broadcast conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description near 52nd Street and Budlong Avenue, and took two gang members into custody without incident. Both men were booked and charged with murder. Due to the sensitivity of the investigation, the names of the suspects are being withheld.
According to investigators, shortly after 2:30 p.m., the victim identified as Keith Dwayne Moore was riding his bicycle in the 1600 block of 55th Street when a man approached him, pulled out a handgun and shot him multiple times. The gunman ran to an awaiting unknown 4-door light-colored vehicle type and took off.
