Why:
Building Blue Bridges (B3) founder Daphne Bradford will host the 3rd Annual Good Trouble Walk & Cultural Sensitivity Summit in partnership with LAPD. Students from various high schools, along with teachers and parents, will participate in this year’s Black History Month walk and summit calling for “All Hands on DECC (De-escalation, Education, Communication, Collaboration) with Public Safety.
LAPD Chief Michel Moore will lead a Q&A session with attending students asking tough questions about police reform and de-escalation education training. Los Angeles School Police, CHP, LAX Airport Police and USC Public Safety will participate in the All Hands on DECC Good Trouble Walk & Cultural Sensitivity Summit. The walk and summit will be a peaceful gathering honoring the request for unity from Tyre Nichols’s mother and family.
“Young people have always been the catalyst for change. The students supporting the Building Blue Bridges (B3) mission to improve relationships with all law enforcement agencies will have the opportunity to lead and inspire the nation to support “All Hands on DECC (De-escalation, Education, Communication, Collaboration) with Public Safety as part of much needed national law enforcement reform,” states Daphne Bradford.
