Hollywood: Los Angeles Police
Department’s Hollywood Division are seeking the community’s
assistance in identifying a suspect who burglarized and apartment
in the Hollywood Hills. The suspect was captured on neighbor’s
“Ring Doorbell” cameras.
On November 8, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. a burglary occurred in the 6700
block of Hillpark Drive. The victim was exercising in her living
room when her doorbell rang repeatedly. A few minutes later, the
victim heard noises in her bedroom. She went to investigate and saw
a male black in his 20’s, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170
pounds, wearing a grey long sleeve shirt and black pants rifling
through her end table drawers. The victim confronted the suspect
who fled through the front door. The investigation revealed the
suspect entered the apartment through an open bedroom window by
removing the screen.
Victims who experience these types of “hot prowl” burglaries are
often left feeling vulnerable, hyper-vigilant and anxious. The
violation of the sanctity of one’s home is a particularly egregious
crime. The Los Angeles Police Department relies heavily on the
public’s cooperation and assistance in the identification of these
suspects to further the investigation and obtain successful
prosecution.
