WHAT: Community Appreciation for LAPD Foothill Officers

WHO: LAPD Captain III Ernest Eskridge, Area Commanding Officer LAPD Captain I Elaine Morales, Patrol Commanding Officer LAPD Foothill Patrol Officers Mr. and Mrs. Ruiz, Owners of Epic Tacos

WHY: On February 28, 2017 in the early evening hours LAPD Foothill officers went in pursuit of a stolen taco truck in the 11500 block of Norris Avenue.

A perimeter was established which resulted in the apprehension of the suspect and recovery of the Epic Taco truck, which was also damaged by the suspect during the pursuit.

Sandra and Edgar Ruiz owners of Epic Tacos, a dedicated and talented husband and wife team, have supplied Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley with epic flavors and friendly service since 1998. On this day, they will provide food for the LAPD officers in appreciation for recovering their stolen food truck.
