Ernesto Suarez Sr. has turned himself into LAPD Hollenbeck police station along with Ernesto Junior. The child is safe.
Los Angeles: A Sun Valley mother and the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help in providing information that would lead to the location of 2-year-old Ernesto Suarez Jr.
On August, 07, 2011, at about 12:30 p.m., 24-year-old Ernesto Suarez Sr. was arguing with the toddler’s mother, in the area of New Haven Street and Sunland Boulevard when he grabbed the child. As Suarez tried to run away, the mother and a male relative tried to stop Suarez Sr. from taking the child. Suarez Sr. pulled out a gun and shot at them while holding Suarez Jr. Suarez ran to his car with Suarez Jr. and drove away from the scene eastbound on Sunland Boulevard in a red four door Honda Accord with a license plate of 6GJD033. The mother and the relative were not harmed.
Suarez Sr. is described as a male Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes. He has a medium build and a light complexion. He stands at 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 165 lbs. He was last seen wearing a ripped blue shirt with black shorts carrying a black semi automatic hand gun.
Suarez Jr. is described as a male Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 30 inches in height and weighs around 35 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white diaper with a grey muscle shirt.
