Carjacking Suspect Caught on Tape NR15049lp

Pacific: The Los Angeles Police
Department, Pacific Division detectives are asking for the public’s
help to identify a carjacking suspect caught on surveillance
video.

On Monday, February 9, 2015, officers from Pacific Area responded
to the 5200 block of Century Boulevard for a carjacking
investigation. When the officers arrived, they met the victims who
said they had seen a man inside their vehicle. When the victim told
the suspect to get out of the car, the suspect refused and began
taking off in the vehicle. The suspect pushed the victim out of the
vehicle while it was moving and sped off eastbound on Century
Boulevard. The suspect was captured on surveillance video.

The vehicle taken was a 2013 Chevy Malibu with Texas plates
BSP9855. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, who is about
5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately
250 to 300 lbs. The suspect was last seen wearing a white knit cap
with black logos, a dark gray hooded pullover with drawstrings,
black baggy jeans and black tennis shoes with white trim and
soles.
