WHAT: Charity Motorcycle Show and Barbecue to benefit the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation

WHO: Chief William J. Bratton; Representatives from the Los Angeles Police Commission; Captain Bradley R. Merritt; Al Atkins, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation; and LAPD and City Employees

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, May 4, 2004, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department will host the 2004 Charity Motorcycle Show and Barbecue to benefit the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation. The Memorial Foundation provides grants to Los Angeles Police Department employees and their families who are experiencing financial difficulty due to death, injury or illness.
Motorcycles owned by Los Angeles City and Police Department Employees will be on display from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. At 1:00 p.m., Chief William J. Bratton, representatives from the Los Angeles Police Commission and guests will have the opportunity to vote for their choice of the Best Harley Davidson, the Best Metric, the Best Custom, the Best Classic, the Best Custom Paint and the Motorcycle Most Likely To Get A Traffic Citation.
This event is open to the public and proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation.
