Chief Bratton Responds to Council Budget Vote

 
Los Angeles: "Today’s vote by the City Council was unfortunately not unexpected. I appreciate Mayor Hahn’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the Los Angeles Police Department with the hiring of more officers and his support for my planned reorganization. I am disappointed that today’s Council action will delay that reorganization and some of the crime reduction strategies that have significant potential to greatly improve public safety in the City of Los Angeles."
"We must now wait and see what the final budget outcome will be."
