Los Angeles: LAPD Chief Charlie Beck expresses support for the nomination of Eileen Decker, Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety in Los Angeles, to the office of U. S. Attorney for the Central District of California.
Today, President Obama nominated Eileen M. Decker, who is currently serving as Deputy Mayor for Homeland Security and Public Safety in Los Angeles. If confirmed by the Senate, Eileen Decker would serve as U.S. Attorney for the Central District, which includes Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
“Deputy Mayor Eileen Decker is an outstanding choice for United States Attorney for the Central District,” said LAPD Chief Charlie Beck. “She is highly qualified and has earned the enthusiastic support of law enforcement for her public safety work. I believe Eileen will be a tremendous law enforcement partner in the office of the U.S. Attorney and I am pleased to support her nomination.”
