"Child Abduction Regional Emergency Media Alert"
 
The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the Media provide the public with the following information to assist Law Enforcement efforts in locating a child that was abducted by his father.
On October 3, 2002, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the father of the missing child entered the residence of his common-law wife, stated he had a gun, and took their child by force and left the location in an unknown direction
The father has been identified as Amadeo Medina, a male Hispanic, D.O.B. 11-17-64, brown hair, black eyes, 5’6", 154 pounds and medium build. He was last seen wearing dark clothing. He was driving a 1994 Mercury Tracer, 4dr green, with California license 3KDE021. The child’s mother stated she also observed her sister handcuffed in the backseat of the vehicle. The sister is 39 year old Naomi Salazar, a female Hispanic, black hair, brown eyes, 5’2", 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white sweater, black pants and black shoes.
The missing child is Amadeo Felipe Medina, male Hispanic, D.O.B. 09-22-01, black hair, brown eyes, 30 inches and 27 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green striped jumpsuit and brown leather shoes. The father and child were last seen in the 1600 block of west 59th street.
