Studio City: Burglary detectives
from the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division
are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that
would lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible for a rash of
commercial burglaries.
During the months of August and September of 2016, there has been
an increase in commercial burglaries along Ventura Boulevard in
Studio City. Eight of those burglaries occurred during the month of
August. The suspects target businesses, smash store front windows
and remove cash registers.
Police recommend installing audible alarm systems that cover glass
breakage, leaving cash registers empty and open, installing a video
camera system that covers both the interior and exterior of the
business and illuminating the exterior as well as the interior of
the businesses during the night.
Anyone with information regarding this crime or additional crimes
involving the suspects are urged to call North Hollywood Burglary
Detectives at (818) 623-4081. During non-business hours or on
weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7
