Update
On December 14, 2018, around 11 p.m., Mr. Kim was found in
the Devonshire area by patrol officers and was reunited with his
family in good health.
Sherman Oaks: The family of James Kim and the Los
Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are asking for the
public’s help in locating him.
James was last seen on December 14, 2018, around 12:20 p.m.,
leaving Sherman Oaks Hospital in the 4900 block of Van Nuys
Boulevard. He currently resides in the 14000 block of Hubbard
Street, in the city of Sylmar, and may be trying to find his way
home. James does not have a cellphone or wallet, but was wearing a
hospital bracelet with his information when he left the hospital.
He suffers from Alzheimer’s and his family is concerned for his
safety.
James is
described as an 84-year-old Korean male with gray hair and brown
eyes. He stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 121
pounds. James was last seen wearing a light grey, long sleeve,
hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, and was wearing only
hospital issued beige socks without shoes.
