UPDATE
On January 25, 2018, Bertha Smith
was found safely and reunited with her family members.
Van Nuys: The family of Bertha Smith and the Los
Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Division are asking for the
public’s assistance in locating her.
On January 25, 2018, Bertha was last seen at 9:30 a.m., near the
6600 block of Greenbush Avenue in Van Nuys.
Bertha is described as an 89-year-old female Black with black hair
and brown eyes. She stands 5 feet tall and weighs around 110
pounds. Bertha was last seen wearing a white and yellow sweater,
dark pants and blue sneakers. She often walks with a cane.
Bertha suffers from dementia as well as additional medical
conditions and requires medications twice a day and does not have
the medications with her.
