Los Angeles: On May 7, 2011, at around 12:45 a.m., officers from the LAPD’s Northeast Division responded to an “Ambulance Shooting” radio call in the 2000 block of Isabel Street,in Cypress Park.
When the officers arrived, they saw two, 19-year-old men with multiple gunshot wounds.The first victim, Jose Madera was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel. The second victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and is expected to survive. The suspects responsible for the murder and attempt murder ran away from the scene in an unknown direction.
The motive for this murder appears to be gang related.
Detectives from Northeast Division are investigating the shooting incident and are asking for the public’s help to provide information that may lead to the identity and whereabouts of the murder suspects.
