Daycare Employee Arrested for Lewd Acts on Young Children NR13055cj

Updated: This morning the District Attorney Office filed three counts of 288 (a) PC, Lewd Acts on a Child against 45-year-old Enrique Ramos; his bail is set at 1.3 million dollars.

The ages of the three children during the incidents were five to eight years old.  Due to the nature of Mr. Ramos’ employment, the possibility of more victims exists.  Detectives are asking additional victims to come forward.  At this time, Ramos’ wife, who is the co-owner of the day care, is not a person of interest.

The State Department of Social Services has closed the day care center and any further information regarding the closure can contact Deputy Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Michael Weston at 916-657-2268.

Los Angeles:  Detectives arrested a daycare facility employee and are looking for possible additional victims.

On Thursday, February 21, 2013, detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Sex Crimes Unit arrested 45-year-old Enrique Ramos a resident of Los Angeles.

Ramos is the co-owner of Cano & Ramos Child /Day Care Center located in the 2600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Boyle Heights.  Ramos was arrested for three counts of Lewd Acts on a Child.  Investigators discovered that Ramos committed these crimes in 2008, 2009 and the most recent incident occurred in 2013.
