Dead Body Found During Welfare Check

Los Angeles: Central Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 43 year-old male Black.
On Friday, June 6, 2003, at about 6:00 p.m., the manager of a residence, located in the 600 block of S. San Pedro Street, conducted a welfare check on a tenant who had not been seen for about one week. The manager discovered the victim lying on the floor in advance stages of decomposition. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead.
The motive and the victim’s identity are unknown at this time.
